Interitus
Interitus, a 4.5 billion year old planet, located in Universe B, is a planet that shares many similarities with Earth. It is the third planet from its sun, and like Earth, it sustains liquid surface water that covers about 70% of the planet. The remaining 30% is composed of continents and islands, widely covered by vegetation. Interitus is also home to two moons: the Moon, and Luna Majoris, with the latter moving closer to the planet.
As with Earth, Interitus is home to a diverse range of animal species. However some animal species have evolved to stand on two legs and interact with humans. These species have split off from their ancestors and have undergone significant evolutionary changes to adapt to their new environments.
Interitus is ellipsoid in shape, with a circumference of approximately 40,000 km. Interitus orbits its sun, taking around 375.25 days to complete one revolution, and rotates around its own axis in slightly over than a day. Like Earth, Interitus' axis of rotation is tilted with respect to the perpendicular to its orbital plane around its sun, producing seasons.
Interitus is a world that is mostly in ruins due to a failed attempt on destroying the second moon of Luna Majoris, especially after ongoing war on the planet.
History
Early History
Interitus formed 4.5 billion years ago from gas in its early solar system. In Interitus' first billion years of Interitus' history, the ocean formed, and life developed. Like Earth, humans emerged on Interitus around 300,000 years ago before modern day. Some animal species would also split from their ancestors and result in said species evolving to interact with humans, and undergo significant evolutionary changes.
Many events that had played in Earth's history would also play out the same on Interitus, save for the fact that the evolved animal species existed, which played a major part in the culture that grew, with some people even believing them to be gods, or the such in some cultures.
2030s - 2080s
By the 2030s, Interitus was a thriving world with bustling cities, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and a vibrant cultural scene. Technological advancements were made in science, medical, and engineering fields, to name a few. Self-driving vehicles would become the norm, and Interitus would become a leader in renewable energy, with wind turbines and solar panels dotting the landscape.
As Interitus' second moon, Luna Majoris has slowly been moving closer to the planet, it has been a primary target of research for some scientists. It's gravitational field was being monitored as to predict the potential effects it could have on the planet. In the late 2030s, a secret mission had been ordered by several leaders as a joint effort to protect the planet. The mission had involved in blowing up the approaching moon in order to protect the planet, however this operation would eventually play out bad when they launched the mission in the early 2040s.
By the years 2042-2044, the mission that was launched to destroy the moon would eventually fail, and result in major debris of Luna Majoris falling back onto the planet. This caused great destruction on the planet, resulting in several natural disasters that occurred on the planet. A war between different nations on the planet started in year 2044, and would continue for several decades to come.
