SoftDiamond
General Description
SoftDiamond, also known by his full name SoftDiamond Corvizite Fazyn, is a character created by Soft in 2012 and redesigned completely in 2014[1][2]. He is a wolf with charcoal-black fur, and a yellow diamond under each under eye; One giant yellow diamond on the back, and one giant yellow diamond on the tail. He has yellow eyes. His paw pads are also yellow, and his ears are yellow inside. He also has yellow eyes (or orange in some appearances) His older design (2012)[3] consisted of a lighter gray, with white diamonds and circles on his body, yellow/white lines on his tail, and white/grey diamonds under his eyes/ear/head.
Backstory (Story Universe)
Similar to how Humans split off from other apes millions of years beforehand, the wolf population was starting to diverge from other Lupine creatures. Animals across the globe were starting to undergo the sentience-gaining transformations, however wolves and related canines were among the first. Sanidinae Corvizite Fazyn is one such wolf of which his ancestors had diverged from the regular Lupine line. Sanidinae would eventually later change his name to SoftDiamond upon learning English. He is a wolf with charcoal-black fur, yellow diamond under both eyes, and a giant yellow diamond on the back, and one on his tail. He also wears rloves and a sweater. He was born an orphan in 2194, belonging to a tribe called Crescent Canine. This version of SoftDiamond would be tested on by scientists, gaining the ability to control electricity. He is described a person that while impulsive, is a natural leader, and sometimes the ability to see through the danger in order to make it through an obstacle he might be going through.
An excerpt reads: Living in the Crescent Canine Clan, SoftDiamond and his pack lived mostly within what was almost a ghost town. Few very impoverished humans still lived here, which made it hospitable to the Lupine immigrants. However, even the poorest of the poor humans still looked down upon the incoming wolves. Even with the wolves outnumbering humans in this part of town, the humans had more of a grasp on the technology and if a human didn’t like a wolf, even a lower classmen who the police would typically ignore would happily seize them for any reason. This makes living difficult, however it was just life for them.
The low class town isn’t all bad though. The canines might not have all the basic human rights, but they still had the basic framework of society. They were begrudgingly allowed to use facilities like restaurants, stores, and even some public services. Even if they got low priority and bad service, they still had it. And that was enough to willingly call it home. High class scientists typically pull from local wolf populations to test, and when a more sensitive topic comes up, they prefer to pull from a group they’ve already tested with. Helps them ensure good behavior when things need to be precise and controlled. So, a wolf that had already been tested on with early cybernetic enhancements was selected to “participate” in the newest fad: Time Travel.
A wolf whose name has been mostly forgotten, foregone by the rough translation of his name. “SoftDiamond” is a wolf who has been in the testing facility before, at a very young age. His first rounds of tests were implementing a self charging battery into the body, which was a success. After this, Cybernetic Enhancements were tested to varying degrees of success. These were successfully removed, however the battery never was. Because of the previous lab experiences, the Scientists pulled him for a more controlled test of time travel. There was one issue however, that nobody in the wolf clan was told: The trip was one way...
Abilities
- Electrical Generation/Storage: SoftDiamond can harness electricity like a capacitor; able to store electricity within himself. He is able to direct the flow throughout his body and expel it at will. This ability is further enhanced with his choice of clothing. His body passively generates and stores electricity over time. If he was to generate electricity a lot faster (In the case of a fight), leading to potentially severely harming himself in the process, or overloading himself. SoftDiamond uses this energy during day to day stuff.
- This can be used to jumpstart vehicles/devices at the cost of some energy.
- This can have several drawbacks such as the potential to singe him by accident (Though his gloves are crafted in such a way that can help with this a bit), overload himself, or harming others if not careful.
- Electro-Sensory Perception: By allowing himself to put any two points of contact (such as two hands) on any surface that is able to conduct electricity, either point can act as a input or/and output, he can "read" various things about the surface he's touching. Potential Use Cases: Life Detection, Seeing how much charge something has, and so forth.
- Electrical Manipulation Signal: SoftDiamond could potentially absorb radio signals by directing the electrical energy into his own body or an insulated surface, this effectively prevents the signal from reaching its destination. He might potentially be able to manipulate electrical signals that make up various electrical transmissions.
- Computer Skills: He possesses advanced computer skills, and has high-end electronics that he can use.
- Weaponry Knowledge: Having travelled a bit in the human cities and such, he has learned about the weapons they use.
- Resuscitation (Limited): He can resuscitate others, especially if they are unconscious. Potentially maybe even saving someone from death if he can get to them soon enough. However this won't work on other living beings that have been dead for an extended period of time
